Development of housing in a new residential area of Östersund. The initial design-concept was based on the idea of a mountain (“fjäll”) – considering the fact that the buildings would be visible from far away as they were located right by the water. The proposal also responded to the municipality’s wishes that the architecture relate to the local environment, its conditions and traditions.
